Hetty van Boven is a quilter, tutor and author, now focussing primarily on creating textile art.
Studies
Mainly self-taught, but attended workshops with overseas tutors Caryl Bryer Fallert, Joy Clucas, Marion Spanjerdt, Katie Pasquini and Joan Schultze. Tutoring experience
Hetty started teaching Patchwork and quilting in 1984.
The demand for her workshops increased to where it became her full time occupation and she travelled extensively to teach all aspects of patchwork and quilting. In Queensland many groups asked for repeat visits. She als tutored in South Australia, New South Wales, Alaska (USA), Canada, Netherlands and on Norfolk Island.
She still welcomes invitations to teach, holds regular Quilt ESKape weekends and continues on the faculty of Quilt University, where her Fabric Greetings course went online in 2005.
